The Police have started to see an increase in reports of suspicious activity and rural crimes – such as vehicles/people on private land, hare-coursing and attempt break in’s to rural buildings. Joint police operations are on-going to target the offenders, who more often than not work over a large geographical area covering many counties.
It is important that any incident details are shared not only with neighbours and communities but with the Police and NHW as well, so that the message can get around as quickly as possible. Attached is an easy Incident Report Card that can be used to help ensure as many details are recorded as possible. Any details such as vehicle make, number plate, description, location, are all useful.
So please always report any suspicious activity to Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.

You will have seen the maintenance on the trees in the village. There has been a terrific response to the initial plan to replace the diseased trees that had to be taken down. Thank you. I will let you all have more details once the replacement scheme is in place. It is expected that the new trees will be planted in the Autumn.
Report highway faults such as potholes, winter maintenance issues, traffic signal problems, blocked drains etc 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our online street doctor takes you through just 5 simple steps to report the fault and you will then receive regular updates.
Reporting Parking & Anti-Social Behaviour Incidents
If you see any anti-social behaviour or unusual behaviour which isn’t an emergency use the police 101 number to report it. If the incident is logged then our PCSO Rachel Head (07557 778144) can follow up the crime number. Obstructive parking is also a problem in Finedon so please report it to the Police as and when it occurs. This way the Police can build up a picture of the problem and bring it to the fore. Just remember, if it is not notified then the Police are unaware of the problem. The 101 number should be used if the incident is not an emergency. Remember if there is a crime being committed or it is an emergency call 999.
