Tree Work Throughout the Village
Following comments made in the village I thought I better explain why some trees have been felled. The Parish Council has been able to save many trees, hence the maintenance work, but some have had to be taken down altogether. In most cases it has been that fungus or disease has weakened them so much that they are unstable with the possibility of breaking. The Parish Council will be continuing with the maintenance work on a regular basis so that it does not have to repeat this very costly work all at one time again.
I hope you now have a better understanding of the tree work being undertaken and can see why it has been necessary.
The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held on 28th February 2018 in the Town Hall at 7.00pm. The Agenda is published one week before the meeting.
All are welcome to attend the meetings. For more information, please click on the link below.
Finedon Parish Council have a Vehicle Activated Sign which is inactive at present. If anyone knows who used to charge and move it about, please let the Clerk know as it is intended to get it up and running again. Alternatively, if you are community minded, are concerned about the speed of the traffic in the village and are willing to take this on please let the Clerk know (07410 633544).
You will have seen the maintenance on the trees in the village. Thank you for your patience whilst this work has been taking place.

Reporting Parking & Anti-Social Behaviour Incidents
If you see any anti-social behaviour or unusual behaviour which isn’t an emergency use the police 101 number to report it. If the incident is logged then our PCSO Rachel Head (07557 778144) can follow up the crime number. Obstructive parking is also a problem in Finedon so please report it to the Police as and when it occurs. This way the Police can build up a picture of the problem and bring it to the fore. Just remember, if it is not notified then the Police are unaware of the problem. The 101 number should be used if the incident is not an emergency. Remember if there is a crime being committed or it is an emergency call 999.
