You will see that Norse have begun the Winter works on the Banks Park, cutting back the shrubs and hedges, siding out the footpaths, etc ready for the new growth next spring. The trees will be maintained over the winter too.
Banks Park Locking and Unlocking Times
Trees – The Parish trees throughout Finedon have been evaluated and will be maintained according to their need this Winter. Areas covered will be Banks Park, the Green, the Cemetery and Pocket Park. A S106 grant from WBC is being used for part of the cost of this work, for which the Parish Council is very grateful as it has enabled the essential maintenance work to go ahead.
The War Memorial Restoration Project has been a huge success and the Parish Council would like to thank all those who contributed, without whom the project would not have been able to go ahead. Phase II will be put in place for the Centenary next year.
Report highway faults such as potholes, winter maintenance issues, traffic signal problems, blocked drains etc 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our online street doctor takes you through just 5 simple steps to report the fault and you will then receive regular updates.
Reporting Parking & Anti-Social Behaviour Incidents
If you see any anti-social behaviour or unusual behaviour which isn’t an emergency use the police 101 number to report it. If the incident is logged then our PCSO Rachel Head (07557 778144) can follow up the crime number. Obstructive parking is also a problem in Finedon so please report it to the Police as and when it occurs. This way the Police can build up a picture of the problem and bring it to the fore. Just remember, if it is not notified then the Police are unaware of the problem. The 101 number should be used if the incident is not an emergency. Remember if there is a crime being committed or it is an emergency call 999.
